Accommodation: common questions
Something not covered here? Ask us on WhatsApp and we’ll answer it.
When should I start looking for accommodation?
As soon as you have an offer. Residence places fill early, and student cities get busy before the academic year starts. Accommodation documents are also part of what you carry when you travel, so sorting housing early makes the visa and arrival steps easier. We help you apply early and compare your options.
How do I avoid housing scams?
Never pay a deposit before the listing, the landlord and the contract are verified. We check them with you before any payment. Be careful with any listing that asks for money up front, and keep every contract and receipt, because you carry your accommodation documents with you when you arrive.
Can you guarantee a room?
No. Residences and landlords decide, so nobody can honestly guarantee a room. We help you apply early, compare options and choose safely, and we check the listing, landlord and contract with you before any payment. Applying as soon as you have an offer gives you the most choice, because residence places fill early.
